Privacy Policy

Kinetic stores all of your fitness data exclusively on your device using a local SQLite database. No workout data, personal metrics, or usage information is ever transmitted to Kinetic's servers or any third-party server without your explicit action.

You have complete ownership of your data. You can export it at any time in CSV, JSON, or SQL format from the Data section in Settings, and you can delete it selectively or entirely through the Delete Data screen.

Cloud Backup is an optional KINETIC+ feature that lets you back up your encrypted database to your personal iCloud (iOS) or Google Drive (Android) account. Backups are encrypted on-device with AES-256-GCM before upload, meaning Kinetic cannot read your backup data.

Kinetic does not receive or store copies of your cloud backup. Your backup files reside in your personal cloud storage account, subject to Apple's or Google's respective privacy policies. You can disable Cloud Backup or delete your backup files at any time.

Kinetic can write completed workout summaries — workout duration and estimated active calories — to Apple Health (iOS) or Google Health Connect (Android) when you enable Health Integration in Settings. This is a one-way write. Kinetic does not read health data back into the app.

Health data written to Apple Health or Google Health Connect is governed by Apple's and Google's respective privacy policies. You can revoke Kinetic's health permissions at any time through your device's system settings.

Kinetic does not collect analytics, usage telemetry, crash reports, or any behavioral data. There are no tracking SDKs, advertising identifiers, or third-party analytics frameworks included in the app.

The app functions entirely offline. There are no background network calls related to your workout data or usage patterns.

Kinetic uses the following optional third-party integrations, all of which require your explicit action or opt-in:

• Apple Health / Google Health Connect — for write-only workout summaries (see Health Platform Sync above)
• iCloud / Google Drive — for encrypted cloud backup (KINETIC+, see Cloud Backup above)
• App Store / Google Play — for processing KINETIC+ purchases and restore checks, subject to Apple's and Google's privacy policies

Promo code validation, if used, involves a lightweight server request to verify the code. No workout history or payment information is transmitted as part of that request.
